Race Information

Komen Iowa Race for the Cure® - Des Moines
Saturday, October 22, 2011
Information updated 11.2.11 9:00 AM

Thank you to the more than 20,000 people who particpated in the 2011 Race for the Cure.  The weather was lovely, the Capitol was pink, and together we have almost raised more than $1 million in the fight against breast cancer.  We are grateful for your support and for the support of the hundreds of volunteers who put in thousands of hours to make the event a reality.

We were fortunate to have so many contributions come in near Race day that we are still adding all the information to our system.  We hope to be done by Friday 11/4 so please check your participant center on Saturday 11/5 for new totals.  If donations you made are still not showing, please be patient.  We are a small staff and working as quickly as we can.  Fundraising will remain open until November 18.

Please remember that individual fundraising will remain open through November 18, 2011.  After that date, anyone eligible for fundraising rewards will be notified with their award certificate and redemption information.  Keep the pink passion going from this weekend and help us reach our goal of raising more than $1 million this year!
